Project Description

SweetTech was retained by Bear Creek Group Contracting to provide project management, engineering, and technical support services to the civil construction contractor for the foundations for a 138kV transmission line. The line spans 56km in challenging alpine terrain, using over 150 transmission line towers. All of the construction access to the 150 tower sites was by helicopter. The scope of construction included, clearing, rock blasting, structural concrete foundation, rock anchor drilling and grouting.

SweetTech supported the contractor’s project management team in a technical role. The scope of support included: scheduling, progress reporting, quality control management, subcontractor management, contract management, field engineering, and constructability reviews.
