Project Description


SweetTech was retained by Graham Infrastructure LP (Graham) to provide construction care of water services prior to, and during construction of multiple water-management structures at 5 locations in a Teck mine site. SweetTech provided engineering support for the Contractors detailed execution construction plans including; erosion and sediment control plans, contingency plans, spill management plans, etc.... Not only did this enable Graham and Teck ensure regulatory conditions were met, SweetTech was able to add value by using available dewatering materials on site and practical construction engineering to save procurement costs and avoid scheduling delays. SweetTech assessed historical weather and was able to provide a risk assessment based on historical precipitation and expected flows. Technical support was provided assesing site sediment for suspended solid – turbidity relationships.

Full time on-site environmental monitoring was performed which included Erosion and Sediment Control inspections, water quality testing and daily reporting to the Contractor & Owner.
