Canoe Meadows Day Use Area Geotechnical Investigation

Kananaskis, Alberta

Project Description

Canoe Meadows is a popular destination for group camping and water activity events. SweetTech designed a new walk-in campsite, improved the existing group camp facility, and designed accessible water access to accomidate a variety of user groups.

SweetTech was retained by Alberta Environment and Parks to perform a geotechnical investigation for the potential design and development of a cliffside viewpoint, accessible river access trail, and the planned improvement of the existing parking lot onsite.

SweetTech is also involved providing engineering services for conceptual design, detailed design, tender support, and construction contract administration of a parking facility, campground, and trails to improve and upgrade use of the area.

SweetTech’s designs balanced environmental and social concerns with a focus on sustainability, responsibility, and accessibility.
