Professional Experience

Delaney is a civil engineering co-op student, currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Cooperative program at the University of Alberta. Through this program, Delaney has received experience in various research and leadership projects, exploring the possibilities of engineering beyond the classroom.

Select Project Experience

 
100 Spring Creek Drive, Canmore, AB, Ongoing – Supported the engineering assessment of Policeman Creek along Spring Creek Drive through an analysis of impacts pre- and post-riprap armouring installation. Completed hydraulic calculations, developed a creek channel profile, and reviewed historic creek behaviour to aid in this assessment.

Kananaskis Visitor Centre, Alberta Environment and Parks, Kananaskis Improvement District, AB, Ongoing – Applied hydrologic design methods (Rational Method) to predict the peak runoff of designated catchment areas pre- and post-development due to the expansion of the Visitor Centre parking lots.

Drumheller Dike D, DRFM, Drumheller, AB, Ongoing – Supported project management, communications, and construction activities through written work, drawing review, and other associated tasks.

Bragg Creek Gauge Station, Wilco Contractors Southwest Inc., Kananaskis Provincial Park, AB, Ongoing – Collected historical precipitation and other relevant hydrological data to support engineering design.

Shambhala Music Festival Campground Intersection Improvement, Shambhala Music Festival, BC, Ongoing – Reviewed and confirmed provincial construction guidelines and specifications to support engineering design and field work.

Barrier Lake Boat Launch, Alberta Environment and Parks, Kananaskis Improvement District, AB, Ongoing – Investigated potential solutions to field engineering challenges by reviewing product options and requirements.
