Tom Stucken, E.I.T.
Background
Tom Stucken earned his civil engineering degree with an environmental specialization from the University of Alberta, completing the co-op program with work terms in geotechnical testing, heavy civil construction, and municipal development. His interest in water resources engineering, hydraulics, and water quality drew him to SweetTech's mix of environmental work and civil construction in unique locations. He spent eight months as a co-op student with the company in 2023, and when he graduated in 2024, he came back full-time.
At SweetTech, Tom works primarily on parks-style civil construction and site redevelopment projects, handling everything from bidding and engineering work to project administration and closeout. He is also involved with mine water management projects, performing field water quality testing and designing drainage systems.
Born and raised in Calgary, Tom enjoys hiking, photography, hobby electronics, and woodworking, basically anything outdoors or technical in nature.
