West Bragg Creek Trails Centre - Feasibility Study

West Bragg Creek Provincial Park Area (PRA) is a popular location for public users featuring over 160 km of all-season multi-use trails managed by the Bragg Creek Trails Association (BCTA).

SweetTech was retained by the BCTA to provide a Feasibility Study for the West Bragg Creek Trails Centre. The intent of the assessment was to provide BCTA with guidance and information to help inform decisions regarding the proposed future development of a Trails Centre building. This included feasibility-level assessment and evaluation of geotechnical reports, environmental reporting, land standing reports, and regulatory conditions applicable to the proposed development. A septic system feasibility investigation and a building code requirement study were also completed as part of the feasibility assessment work.

As part of this project, SweetTech identified potential project risks, limitations, and stakeholder interests, and discussed site suitability for various conceptual Trails Centre building location options. An overall summary of feasibility considerations that will require consideration for future design and construction of the Trails Centre and associated feasibility-level cost estimates were incorporated into a Feasibility Assessment Report.
