Dominic Brin, E.I.T.
Background
Dominic Brin was born in Calgary but moved to the Sunshine Coast during high school. He earned his mechanical engineering degree with an aerospace concentration from UBC Okanagan, completing 16 months of co-op placements at industrial facilities including pulp mills and oil sands operations. Before joining SweetTech, he spent two summers fighting wildfires across Alberta, learning what it means to work effectively in challenging field conditions.
At SweetTech, Dominic applies his mechanical engineering background to civil and hydrotechnical projects, including snowmaking systems, pipe design, tendering, and contract administration. He is building expertise across disciplines and is comfortable working on projects that do not fit neatly into one engineering category.
Outside work, Dominic has "too many hobbies", including drawing, reading, photography, hiking, kayaking, climbing, and running. He is currently trying his hand at pottery and painting.
