Description
Ing’s Mine Trailhead and Moose Mountain Trailhead are popular recreation areas in the Kananaskis Region of Alberta.
SweetTech Engineering was retained by Alberta Forestry and Parks to provide conceptual design, detailed design, approval securement, tendering, and construction contract administration support for the redevelopment of two recreational areas within the Kananaskis region of Alberta. These sites include: Ing’s Mine Trailhead, and both the upper and lower Moose Mountain Parking lots.
Based on AFP planning framework, SweetTech provided conceptual design recommendations, and cost estimates for the proposed expansion to Ing’s Mine and Moose Mountain. The scope included expansion of the existing parking lot at the Ing’s Mine Trailhead, new buildings (washroom), decommissioning of existing structures, environmental reclamation, improved use of site, gate installation and signage improvements at Moose Mountain.
SweetTech’s designs balanced environmental and social concerns with a focus on sustainability, practicality, accessibility, and enhanced visitor experience.
