Description
SweetTech was retained by Wilco Contractors Southwest Inc. (Wilco) to provide Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) support for the decommissioning of an existing flow gauge station and the construction of a new flow gauge station, located in Bragg Creek. The engineering services provided prior to, and during the construction phase of this project included: development of good ESC housekeeping practices for construction, erosion and sediment control plans, dewatering supervision and reporting, and engineering support for sensitive works. SweetTech was able to adapt ESC and dewatering measures quickly and effectively to satisfy numerous stakeholder requests throughout the design process, enabling the project to be completed with a short turnaround.
During all dewatering activities on-site engineering support and supervision was provided by SweetTech to confirm regulatory and stakeholder compliance was achieved. A detailed observation report was provided to Wilco at the end of dewatering operations. Working with Applied Aquatic Research, our combined services on this project were able to fully support Wilco, Rocky View County, and the City of Calgary’s environmental requirements.
