Shambhala Intersection Upgrade

SweetTech was retained by Shambhala Music Festival to design an intersection into Shambala Campground, off Highway 6 in the Central Kootenays. This intersection was projected to see increase public traffic, therefore an upgrade to increase usability and safety was required. In collaboration with JCB Engineering, traffic studies were completed and MoTI permits were obtained, and a suitable intersection design was created meeting all MoTI standards.

SweetTech created construction drawings detailing intersection design and provided geotechnical engineering support throughout the design and construction process. SweetTech also aided in the coordination of aerial survey, regulatory permitting, and provided multiple on-site inspections ensuring the project was completed to design specifications.
