Bragg Creek Flood Mitigation Care of Water

SweetTech provided construction care of water engineering services prior to, and during construction of Bragg Creek Flood Mitigation Works for Wilco Contractors Southwest Inc. (Wilco). SweetTech provided engineering support for the Contractor’s construction execution plans including; Erosion and Sediment Control plans (ESC), temporary river diversion and isolation plans, and support for sequencing of sensitive works. SweetTech was able to add value by using onsite non-erodible soil materials to design dry isolations and use available dewatering equipment and materials on site to save procurement and operating costs and avoid scheduling delays. SweetTech assessed historical weather data and provided a risk assessment based on historical precipitation and flows.​

On-site erosion and sediment control inspections were performed to support construction contract compliance. Working with Applied Aquatic Research, our combined services on this project were able to fully support Wilco’s environmental requirements.
