Description
SweetTech was retained by the Whitetail Lake Land Corporation (WLLC) to provide detailed engineering design, regulatory approvals, and construction inspection services for improvements to the Findley Creek Forest Service Road and the Whitetail Lake Access Road.
These improvements were completed to service future residential development works at Whitetail Lake supported by SweetTech. SweetTech’s practical approach was much less than other options being considered and allowed the project to be economically viable.
Archeologically sensitive sites, wetland areas, an active forestry haul road, and heavy recreational traffic added to construction challenges. These were mitigated by an effective traffic management plan that included limited construction works zones.
A fit for purpose design and practical construction execution achieved the permitted road widening criteria with immediate positive feedback.
