Cougar Creek Dam Construction Access Road and Retaining Wall

The Prime Contractor contacted SweetTech to develop a fit-for-purpose, steep slope construction access road. The ultimate solution involved steep grades >12%, narrow running surface of 5 m, safety berm, and a 7 m high lock block retaining wall with geogrid reinforcement and the use of a very high friction angle blast rock backfill by a practical construction methodology to achieve the desired outcome.
