Kurt has over 20 years of relevant and wide-ranging experience in municipal infrastructure, transportation and land development projects including parks and open spaces, servicing, bridges and flood recovery. Kurt has been a Project Director for multimillion dollar Alberta Transportation projects, specializing in client relations staff/team management, leadership and mentorship. Kurt is active member of the Morrison Herschfield Canada wide Municipal Senior Management Team. Kurt has extensive expertise in Transportation and Municipal Infrastructure, Tender and Contract Management/Administration, Project Management and Communications and Engagement.

Boulton Creek Campsite Loop E For Alberta Parks, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, AB. 2016 - 2018 - Project Manager to develop 38-stall full-service campground and paved access loop with trails and wayfinding. Included RFP for design consultant, construction tender, contract administration, stakeholder engagement/consultation, project communications and First Nations consultation.

Jura Creek Parking Lot Development for Alberta Parks, Exshaw, AB. 2016 – 2018 - Project Manager, key details include 100-stall parking lot development and paving with new access/intersection at Hwy 1A, trails, wayfinding, included RFP for design consultant, stakeholder engagement/consultation, project communications and First Nations consultation.

Glenbow Ranch Office Development for Alberta Parks, Cochrane, AB. 2016 – 2018 - Project Manager for conversion and renovation of 4,000 sq. ft. rural residence to government offices including Code updates, site grading, parking, access and water supply. Included RFP for design consultant, construction tender and contract administration.

Exshaw Pump Track Reconstruction for MD of Bighorn, Exshaw, AB. 2017 - Prjoect Manager for reconstruction of dirt/mountain bike/BMX skills park. Included procurement of design, stakeholder engagement/consultation and project communications.

Bankside Day Use Area Development for Alberta Parks, Fish Creek Provincial Park,  2016 – 2017 - Project Manager, to develop new day use area with 27 sites, 500m of paved and granular path, 33-stall parking lot expansion and landscaping including construction tender and contract administration.

Exshaw Baseball Diamond Turf and Shale Repair, MD of Bighorn, Exshaw, AB. 2016 – 2017 - Project Manager, Removal of silt and floor debris,  coring of shale playfield and shale replacement.

Recreation Grounds Infrastructure Inventory/Assessment for Town of Banff, AB. 2016 - Consultant Lead, Inventory and condition/life cycle assessment of parking lots, tennis court, mountain bike park, skate park, camp kitchen, day use and sites and access roads.

South Exshaw Trail Development for Exshaw, AB. 2015 – 2016 - Project Manager, Construction and surfacing of 2km of new local trail and connections including four pedestrian watercourse crossings included contractor procurement, contract administration and regulatory approvals.
